Mindful Leadership
Mindfulness is the ability to be aware of the present moment, non-judgmentally. Through mindfulness we can more clearly see our experiences as they are without the confusion of added projections, fears, and habitual assumptions. We build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and attention control and this gives us the space to take a moment between a stimulus and our response. It allows us to respond versus react.
Through the years at New England Donor Services, I have gently gotten the word out about how mindfulness can improve manager/employee relationships, cultivate a compassionate work environment, and help relieve the stress our employees face. I have been asked to give presentations and talks within my organization on the benefits of mindfulness, mindful leadership, and how our employees can start a practice. These are some of the presentations I have given.
